Events › Dicey Plots: A Library Writing Adventure!

This take home creative writing challenge is for anyone who can roll a dice! We provide the dice and writing prompts. You write a story and submit for a chance to win prizes from local businesses. Dice and rules are available to pick up at all branches.

• This program is open to ALL ages and may be completed as a family. Choose your age group in the prompt tables below.
• Your short story must be your own original work, including the text, characters, and setting as determined by your roll of the dice. No Fanfiction characters/worlds or use of AI technology.
• Stories must not exceed 1000 words (less is ok!) and should be submitted digitally: mykpl.us/diceyplots
• Stories must use language that is public library appropriate. Stories that do not follow these rules will be disqualified.
• One submission per person plus an additional story per family maximum.
• Winners will be announced in early May after all stories have been read. Challenge runs April 1-30. Entries must be received by April 30 9 PM to be eligible for prizes.
